Enrique Murciano Actor

Enrique Murciano, co-star of the "Miss Congeniality 2: Armed And Fabulous" Movie!

Enrique currently stars as "Danny Taylor" on CBS's series "Without A Trace". Murciano made his feature film debut in "Traffic" and also appeared in "Black Hawk Down." It was during the filming of "Black Hawk Down" that he was introduced to Jerry Bruckheimer, a meeting that led to his role in WITHOUT A TRACE. His other film credits include a lead role in the upcoming "Miss Congeniality 2," with Sandra Bullock, and "How to Go Out on a Date in Queens." He attended Tulane University and Boston Law School before deciding to become an actor. Once that decision was reached, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue his goal. He divides his residence between Los Angeles, California and Miami, Florida. In 2002 he presented Best Music Video at the 3rd annual Latin Grammy awards. Enrique Is currently dating supermodel Molly Simms. Enrique Murciano was born in Cuba July 9, 1973, and was raised in Miami, Florida. He attended Tulane University, but moved to Los Angeles to pursue his goal of becoming an actor. He brought with him his love of exotic cars and motorcycles. His break came when a two-day stint on the set of the Academy Award winning Traffic turned into several weeks work as the role of DEA agent Ricky placing him in several pivotal scenes with Luis Guzman and Don Cheadle. He went on to appear in Black Hawk Down, How to Go Out on a Date in Queens and Speed 2: Cruise Control. This past year, Enrique donned a bit of Trek-ian disguise and played the part of the Vulcan Tolaris in Enterprise. The episode was called "Fusion", and dealt with a group of non-logical Vulcans that find other ways to deal with their emotions. Even though Enrique's character Tolaris is not a "good guy", he plays the part so fully fleshed out that we are utterly charmed by him. So what makes Enrique "totally delish"? When Enrique was tapped to play FBI Agent Danny Taylor in Without A Trace, he stepped to front and center of America's attention. And even with established hunk Eric Close sharing the screen with him, Enrique Murciano shines with a sweet, understated charm that's hard to deny. It's almost all in his eyes. Are those the most amazing eyes, or what? Then there's his slightly crooked little smile, framed by pouty little lips. I mean, sheesh, how's a girl supposed to pay attention to his lines in the show?

In 2004 Enrique will star opposite Sandra Bullock again, this time as her love interest in the sequel to her successful Miss Congeniality, Miss Congeniality 2. He has also landed a small role in the Cuban-American drama, The Lost City, directed by Andy Garcia and starring Dustan Hoffman and Bill Murray.

His other film credits include the independent feature How to Go Out on a Date in Queens, Case 42, Cafe and Tobacco.

'Trace' star Enrique Murciano finds love in 'Las Vegas'

Although he's risen to TV-hunk status while playing FBI Agent Danny Taylor on CBS' Thursday-night hit "Without a Trace," don't expect to see Enrique Murciano show up in the tabloids for hitting the Los Angeles bar and party scene.

"You don't hear any stories," he says, taking a break from filming on the show's sets at Warner Bros. in Burbank. "I leave here, and I go straight home.
I have a very strict girlfriend. You won't hear any stories about me, I promise you."

The girlfriend in question is statuesque blond model Molly Sims, currently showing off her acting chops as playgirl Delinda Deline on NBC's Monday-night drama "Las Vegas."

"She's a sweetheart," Murciano says. "I kept begging for them to make her my love interest [in the first season]. It's not that they weren't going for it, but at the time they were concentrating on the actual cases and not so much on our personal lives. This year, she's not available."

Despite the long hours of TV drama, Murciano says it hasn't been a relationship problem. "Last night, I was on her set. She'll come here today. It's fine. I'd like to work with her."

It's unlikely, though, that Murciano will take any modeling jobs with Sims. "No, I'm not a model. Can this face model? Maybe like a fisherman's sporting-goods catalogue -- but I don't think so."

Although he was in "Traffic" and "Black Hawk Down," Murciano's big break came on "Without a Trace." Over the show's season-and-a-half run, he's become somewhat of an "It Boy," a status that amuses and puzzles him.

"That's what they're saying," he says. "That's what you're saying. It's funny, but whoever's saying it, I'm going to go along with them. It's a nice feeling. It's definitely nothing conscious [that I did]. I think I have a good time.

"I love working with the people I work with, and it shows. I don't think there's any recipe for being the 'It Boy.' But there are pictures of me that are so not that. They're right here on set. The 'It Boy' would become the 'Not Boy.'"

On this particular day, Murciano is battling a bad cold.

"How sexy is that," he asks, "blowing my nose? I asked the director, can I say, 'I have the worst cold,' and go on with the scene? He's like, 'No.' I don't know how I sound to you, but to me, I sound all congested. My eyes are watery. It's hell. But once the cameras roll, I have to pretend I feel great."

Murciano caught his cold while flying home to Miami, Fla., to be with his ailing grandmother. But there was a happier reason as well. Already an uncle when one sister had a baby, he also got to see his other sister's new baby.

"I have two little nephews now," he says. "I think I'm a good uncle. I try not to buy junky presents. When they get older, I'll buy them birthday presents and Christmas presents and all that stuff, but I decided now to put money away for both of them."

Asked if his mother wonders when he'll contribute a grandchild, Murciano says, "I think she'd like for me to have a baby. I'd like to have a baby. I'd like to have four babies." He laughs at the thought. "I need to fill Molly in on the whole thing. I'd like to have four girls."

Sometimes the most terrifying thing that can happen to a ladies' man is to have a daughter -- because he fears a younger version of himself showing up at the door one day.

If this could be considered some kind of karmic payoff, Murciano jokes, "I want to have four girls, so what does that tell you?"

Without a Trace's Enrique Murciano: My Favorite Room

Mystery solved! The 30-year-old CBS actor can always be found in the kitchen of the Marina Del Ray, California, home he shares with girlfriend Molly Sims

Sexy neighbor "My parents are from Cuba, but I was born and raised in Miami. When I was 23, I sold everything I had and moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting. I met Molly [Sims, 27, his model-actress girlfriend, who stars in NBC's Las Vegas] four years ago at a barbecue, and I eventually convinced her that she had to live near the beach in Marina Del Rey, like I did. So when she moved into this three-bedroom, Spanish-style apartment, I lived right next door. Finally, about two years ago, she just said, 'Move in with me.' I didn't have far to go!"

Gourmet guy "I love to cook, so this kitchen is very important to me. It's stocked with Cuban spices, garlic and a seasoning called 'mojo.' I never thought I would get such pleasure out of coming home, turning on a little Billie Holiday and spending an hour just throwing together some fish with rock salt, garlic and shallots. Add a squeeze of lemon and olive oil and boom! Molly and I talk and catch up in here while I cook. The pact is, I cook, she cleans up. Molly eats healthy food, so that's what I make. Still, I love In-N-Out Burger, so about once a week, I sneak one of their Double-Double hamburgers."

Latin quarters "Since I've lived here, I've influenced the decor a lot. I've added a lot of books about Cuba, Panama hats — I have 30 or 40 of them — and, because I love music, a lot of instruments: congas, timbales, and a guitar. I also love cigars, so we have about 50 Cuban cigar boxes over there. But Molly brought the waffle maker, which is a huge deal. Every weekend we invite friends over to cook omelets, heuvos rancheros and waffles. Be here on Sunday at 10 a.m.!

Beach bash "We're looking for a house in the Hollywood Hills, but I think we'll always keep this place. We love to spend weekends here and have people over. About six months ago, we had a party where we were going to just cook some pasta, but 60 people showed up! My friends [actors] Brian Van Holt and Orlando Bloom [ who starred with Murciano in 2001's Black Hawk Down] were here plus tons of other people. They stayed until about six in the morning. If you'd seen this place, it looked like a nightclub. We had a breakdancing competition!"

"This Viking stove is great," says Murciano. "The flame on it is amazing. You don't realize how important that is to cooking until you use it!"

I love to make Italian food," Murciano says. "I use The Babbo Cookbook by Mario Batali."

"Cooking is a lot like acting," Murciano says. "It's one more opportunity for me to be creative."

Enrique Murciano stars as FBI agent in the hit drama series '' Without ATrace''

WITHOUT A TRACE is a riveting procedural drama about the New York Missing Persons Squad of the FBI. The sole responsibility of the special task force is to find missing persons by applying advanced psychological profiling techniques to peel back the layers of the victims' lives and trace their whereabouts in an effort to discover whether they have been abducted, been murdered, committed suicide or simply run away. The team reconstructs a "Day of Disappearance" timeline that details every minute of the 24 hours prior to the disappearance and digs into every facet of the victim's life, following one simple rule: learn who the victim is in order to learn where the victim is. Senior agent Jack Malone (Anthony LaPaglia), a tough but compassionate, seasoned and astute professional, heads the dedicated team that knows too well that every second counts when someone vanishes. His squad includes Samantha Spade (Poppy Montgomery), an agent whose blonde good looks belie a tough, complex approach to her work; Vivian Johnson (Marianne Jean-Baptiste), a no-nonsense investigator with a special insight into victims' families; Danny Taylor (Enrique Murciano), whose sensitivity is often covered up by his street smarts, and the strait-laced Martin Fitzgerald (Eric Close), who joined the team as a result of his father's connections but has since earned his stripes. As the agents work on varied and complicated cases, details about their own lives continue to unfold.
